Reporting issues

If you think you’ve found a problem with Omnibear, report it by opening an issue on GitHub. Be sure to copy the relevant logs as shown above and paste them into the issue.

Suggesting Ideas

If you have an idea for how Omnibear could be improved, opening a discussion on GitHub. This will allow for ideas to be refined before they are worked on.

Asking questions

If you hae a question, these can also be asked by opening a discussion on GitHub. By asking your question publicly, you allow multiple people the chance to respond and allow other to see the answer. You can also ask questions in the IndieWeb chat and consider mentioning aciccarello.

Identifying Software

When discussing issues it is helpful to share a few details about your environment:

  1. What version of Omnibear are you using
  2. What browser and version are you using
  3. What operating system and version are you using

To find what version of Omnibear you are using, view the manage extensions page of your browser and find Omnibear. You should be able to see the version number in the extension details.

The most common browsers include Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, though there are additional variants. The operating system is usually MacOS, Windows, or various Linux distributions. It is helpful to communicate what the browser and OS versions are when discussing issues
